919 Spotlight: Quincy Brown

Quincy Brown is an American actor, model, and musician most known for his roles in hit tv shows such as STAR, Raising Kanan, and DOPE. The 31-year-old debuted in 2015 in the movie Brotherly Love playing the role of Chris Collins. Born to model and actress Kim Porter and singer Al B Sure, Brown was three years old when his mother began dating rapper, actor, and record producer Sean Diddy Combs who raised Brown as his own and later adopted him. He is named after his Godfather, musical icon Quincy Jones.

Brown has multifaceted interests and experience in different art careers and more. Aside from being an actor, model, and musician, Brown also has a watch collection: Chalk by Quincy, a fashion line, a tech start-up, and a video production company FourXample despite all these different ventures, Brown has stated that his passion lies in the arts with acting and music being his number one interests. His first single, "Options," with his brother King Combs was released in 2019, and his most recent single, "Stay A While" ft Kendre was released in May 2023. Fun fact: because he spent much of his childhood in Columbus, Georgia, April 24 was deemed Quincy Brown Day by the mayor.
