Regenerative Cotton: A Step Further

Following our decision to move away from conventional cotton, we’re now exploring something that aligns more closely with 919 Vrede’s core values: regenerative cotton.

Unlike conventional or even organic cotton, regenerative cotton goes beyond doing “less harm.” It’s about actively healing — the soil, the ecosystem, and the communities around it.

This means:

• Farming methods that restore soil health

• Water cycles that are supported, not strained

• Systems that return biodiversity and resilience to the planet

In short: it's a material that returns.

What we love about regenerative cotton is that it's not just the end product — it's the whole system of care it represents. One that reflects the same respect we place on preserving heritage craft.

We're still on the early side of this transformation, but it feels right in line. Purposeful. Honest.

And that's how we want every future piece to feel — from seed to self.
